Do your customers have pets? Are they smokers? Have they recently had fire or smoke damage to their properties? Do they have a mildew smell in their house that they can't get rid of no matter how many different products they try?

The IICRC Odour Control Technician Course (OCT) teaches one how to address odours caused from biological sources such as decomposition, urine contamination, and mould, combustion sources such as fire and smoke damage, and chemical sources such as fuel oil spills or volatile organic chemicals.

  • Learn about olfaction and what may form the odours

  • Gain an understanding of odour sources

  • Learn the identification and detection process

  • Understand the theory of odour control

  • Know your equipment and how to use it

  • Learn the chemical options and applications.

It doesn't matter how clean your clients properties are, most people come up against issues with odour in their home at one time or another. By offering odour control as an additional service could be instrumental to your customers.

Sit the optional exam at the end of this course to gain your IICRC Carpet Cleaning Technician Certification upon successful completion. All exam fees are payable directly to IICRC on the day of the exam.

To view the dates that TESA Directive will be running this course please check the 2019 Academic Calendar.
